Weather remains extreme for most of the months in Everest Base Camp. Temperature in summit never reaches more than zero degrees Celsius. The trekkers also have to face challenges of heavy wind. Himalayas in fact holds highest collection of ice after North and South Poles.
Moisture and cloud can be experienced in Everest from June to September. December and January are cold months. The best season for EBC Trek
is in between March to May and October to November. One can experience moderate climate during these months.
Weather in between November to February is winter which means there will be heavy wind blowing and there are also chances of snowfall. Temperature is quite sunny during day while it might drop down below zero degrees Celsius during night.
Spring season is also known as a pre monsoon period and it starts from March. Temperature remains pretty warm during this period. So, if you are thinking about when to go to Everest, Spring might be the joyful period.
The period in between June to September is determined to be the monsoon period in Nepal. There is chance of rainfall at regular interval while sky remains cloudy for most of the day. Monsoon is not so favorable time to visit Everest Base Camp as clouds will obscure mountain views.
